An English weekly illustrated literary magazine, published by Bradbury & Evans, the publisher of Charles Dickens' Household Words magazine. Many of the London writers and editors also worked for Bradbury & Evans' Punch magazine.

The Outlook (1870 - 1935)
The Outlook was a popular New York City family periodical published from 1870 to 1935. Contributors included Theodore Roosevelt, poet Edgar A. Robinson, cartoonist Oscar Cesare and Booker T. Washington, a former slave who first published his memoirs in the Outlook's 1900 editions.

The Outlook was also the title of a British periodical published in the late 19th and early 20th century. A successor to the New Review, which shut its doors in 1897, the Outlook subtitled itself as a review "In Politics, Life, Letters, and the Arts"
